Unhappy Flowmaster drone. It must go!

I've put up with my single out 3" flowmaster cat back for 5 yrs now. I have edelbrock headers, and no cat. The drone inside the car going down the interstate is so annoying.
Will a Magnaflow catback drone? I want something kind of quiet when traveling down the interstate and it can raise hell when I floor it.

I went from flowmaster to hooker. Better sound. No drone.

Put the stock cat-back on and get a cutout with an e-plate on it.

There is an alternative to replacing your entire cat back system. I just replaced my muffler with a Spin Tech Model 3444XL. This muffler will replace the Flowmaster Muffler in the 3" American Thunder single out exhaust.

I had the same problem with my new 383. The flowmaster droned awful. The Spintech is one of the better flowing mufflers around and the sound is very nice. Oh yeah, the spintech replacement muffler is about $100 from Spin Tech.

yeah, i say just swap the muffler out and go with either a hooker or spintech muffler to replace it. i have a hooker muffler and i love it. i have heard a few spintechs on a few LS1's but no LT1s and they sound good too. they arent as quite as stock but they are significantly quieter than the flowmaster.
