flowmaster or borla?

I have flowmaster exhaust on my car now. I can get a borla catback system for $200. Should I take the flowmaster off and go with the borla? Will i notice a small gain?

YES !! For that cheap, you can't go wrong. You'll definetly get a power increase but almost as important, you'll get that amazing Borla sound

Go for it. You won't regret it

I get nothing but praises on how my exhaust sounds (Borla)

notice a gain where? from stock to aftermarket catback there is a clear noticable difference.

if you mean a difference in hp between the two, the borla wins. Even if it was down a few from the flowmaster, the quality of the sound is much more valuble and worth it in my opinion away.....all borla here brotha!

Have you heard a Borla on an LT1 in person??? Cuz i know lots of guys that have flowmasters that wouldnt trade them in for the world, cuz they do have a distinctive sound, and lots of people love them. I personally love my Borla, but if you havent heard one in person, you might not like it compared to the Flows. Also, you will gain a little horsepower, but nothing really noticeable, but you will gain some.

i have 3" from the cat back with a flowmaster 40 ser. also with LTs all i can say is i love the deep sound that come from this set up. yea i know, i may be able to get more hp from borla but my roomate has LTs, no cats, and borla, with all the bolt ons, and a lt4 cam, all i can say is it sounds nice at and idle but when he opens it up (sorry for saying this) but it sound like redneck heaven. LOL. many other people agree with me that mine sounds better but to each his own.

Cool

BUY IT, BUY IT, BUY IT!!! Unless the tips are messed up that steup is worth way more. If you don't want it, list it on Ebay. I gaurentee it will sell for doudle what you paid for it.

Borla and FLowmaster both have destinctilve sounds all their own. I do love the sound of a Flowmaster, but the Borla has less interior resonance and look hands down much better. I bought the Borla for the looks and can't wait to hear it. It's sitting in my garage in an ever growing pile of parts waiting for my head cam swap.

I definitely aggree. My car sounds better than my friends car with borla in ALL instances... he even says so. Flowmaster sounds GREAT at idle and sounds Mean as a Demon in a flyby on the highway.
I think that all borla has is word of mouth and those cute little baffles and tips. awwwww....

So dude, I don't know if you're looking for that EXTRA 5 HORSES or what, but i'd spend the 200 bucks on something more productive. get that horsepower elsewhere with the 200. why buy a cat back system if you already have a good one?

All you borla guys will be pissed at me for speaking my mind, but you have to admit that I make sense.

Dude, I don't see anything in your signature... so I am not sure if you have a CAI yet.. but that would be a perfect way to spend $200.

Later guys, i gotta get back to work.

I and my buddy with an LS1 trans am both have 80 series flows. My engine is mostly stock with a 3" exhaust and his is definatley more than stock with 3" exhaust and headers neither have cats and we both love the sound of the flows. I get complements form everyone. THeres a 99ta in town with borla and headers and everybody I know likes my sound better.
