flow80 vs. cutout

for people with the flowmaster 80 series muffler AND a cutout...did you ever compare runs on the same night between cutout open and closed? or if anyone is willing to do this test, that'd help me out a lot!

the very last time i raced my trans am i had the cutout closed and went 14.29@97.6x then opened the cutout and pulled a 13.8x@99 sort of feathering it. i would have pulled about 13.6-13.7 if i had a helmet, but oh well. both runs were made within 10-15 min. of each other in 91*/85% humidity. also i had stock bfg's(bald) w/25 psi. the cutout was where the cat used to be so it was damn loud i wish i still had my t/a but now im getting an 86 buick t-type

leapin lizards! I'm hoping to gain 1 tenth with the cutout, but if you guys are easily gaining 2 tenths, maybe it's time!

I think 12scndz went 12.25 with the flowmaster and 12.05 with the cutout uncapped.

I went 13.98@101 with it capped, then 10 minutes later went 13.81@102 with it uncapped.

okay, I finally got my dmh e-cutout installed and went to the track! I showed an average of 2.0 tenths better with the cutout open vs. closed with my flowmaster 80 series. Also, my trap speed was 2 full mph faster on average! I should've just kept the stock muffler and done a cutout from the start!

flowmasters suck all together. i have blown out 2 so far running nitrous. i will never buy one again. magnaflow got my money for my c5 vette and it sounds great and perfroms very well. i would think the cut outs would be located right after the cats somewhere or where the offroad pipe joins together.
