Flashing SES?

Flashing SES?

It is just for miss fires correct? someone told me it will do it for EGR crap as well this true?

When my EGR failed. The SES light would stay on, no flash.

A blinking SES is almost always a misfire.

It is possible that the egr had something to do with the missfire, and thats why it flashed. But as stated above, blinking SES is almost always the computer picked up a missfire.

Well i asked because i have my OBD2 on the car it flashes constantly and the codes are Emissions (that are not there) and a miss fire..... well i put my OBD1 on and i dont get a single code or miss fire code... asked a few guys and one of the guys said when his egr failed his flashed

OBDI won't detect misfires, that's why it doesn't flash.
