Lightbulb Everybody with aftermarker or replacement CATS!

Alright, what I do not understand is when you all change out your cats to catco, magnaflow or whatever brand it may be, are both cats being changed out or just one? The reason why i don't understand is because the cat on the driver side is not under the car like the other one, it is a funky drum looking cat. How would you change out the driver side cat, or are you just changeing the passenger side cat?

You must be talking about the pre-warmer. Buy an aftermarket y-pipe and replace the cat under the car.

Cool

I thought 95's came with two cats. And there was a window in 96 where someone could put dual exhaust on,but i dunno. If you have dual exhaust, don't go to the Y-pipe.Anybody got info one this?My02
Catco is a good one,but I understand that random will last longer.Hope this helps.(Maybe if you bought the car used it was upgraded to dual exhaust, but I dunno.Hope this helps.

96+ F-Body's all have dual cats, but there were also a few A4's in 95 in California that had dual cats. To answer your question though, you definitely want to replace both cats, there's no point in having a high flow cat on one side and the stocker on the other.
