flamable heat wrap.
flamable heat wrap.
I bought some to cover my fuel lines and a few wires. I have been told metal fuel lines won't be affected by being close to exhasut. I did a lighter test and the tape caught on fire. Is this allright? It is specifically designed for fuel lines and wires, and the guy at the shop said it's the best stuff they have. Should I use it or no?

As to the lighter test... You can't compare an open flame to a radiant heat source. Apples and oranges as far as flash point is concerned. Also, that cig. lighter can produce around 1100 to 1300 F! WAAAY more that your likely to see coming off an exhaust manifold.
