fixing intake leak

ok my mechanic is going to fix my intake leak. i was wondering what mods are worth doing while the intake is off. he said he could port and polish the intake for better flow. should i put bigger fuel injectors(22#) with a new fuel rail. would i get any power out of these mods and is there any more mods i could do

thanks

also the heads are staying on. mods in sig

not sure but i think the stock ones are #24 so that would be going down. and why would you need a new fuel rail and as far as the porting it might not really help but if its free or cheap i guess go for it..im not sure but thats just my .02

IMHO getting bigger fuel injectors w/ a new fuel rail would be useless with your current mods.

you can match port the intake to the heads, but your not doing the heads so I see no purpose in that. As far you mechanic said about polishing the intake.....you don't wanna do that. The intake should be sanded with 80 grit at its finest beacuse you need a slightly rough surface for the fuel and air to atomize (is that the word) properly.

You can pop the valve covers off and put 1.6 or 1.7 roller rockers along wth some new valve springs... there is a really good install guide by street illusions. With the intake off it takes less than 5 minutes to remove the valve covers.

I would hold off on the injectors. You're not making enough power to need them. You will not need then until a cam swap.
