first problem with gear instalation need part #

Angry first problem with gear instalation need part #

me and the guy thats helping me were pulling one of the barings off the posie with two crow bars and when we were prying the crow bar poped off and the posie flew off the table and hit the ground it brode the gear thats right above the ring gear i think its something to do with the abs,does anyone have a part # for this

Hmm... I would suggest you use a bearing puller next time. You can borrow them from Autozone for free.

You might have to order that part from the dealer - it's for your ABS. Sorry but I don't know the part number.

is it alright to instal the gears without that part. i know my abs wouldent work wich it is already inop, but would it affect anything else

You mean the ABS Reluctor ring ...holly Sh*t dude that's like $700.00 bucks but I think you can get them cheap here.

Where do you get your information?

List price for a reluctor ring is ~$25 and about half that at wholesale. GM PART # 26029185 is the for the 3 series carrier. I am not sure if that will work with your 4.10's.

I was only kidding... The part is like 19.95 at that link.

And the stock syled ABS ring should work fine Have the same setup no issues.

i have one on order but im geting impatient and i want to drive my car. so cam i put the rear end together without it??

mean like seting up the Pinipn depth and stuff? yeah..don't see whynot. You should be able to do anything as long as it doesn't interfere or involve the ring for the moment.

You would have to pull the carrier back out to put the reluctor on. Don't know that I would go to the trouble. The ABS just won't work.
