One thing's for sure, Firehawk owners are usually very snobby people. MO FOs think they're Thurston Howell.

"All LS1 Firehawks and WS6s are made by ASC. "

All Firehawks were made by SLP, LS1 included.

It wasn't just a GM option like the Z28

all the LT1 WS.6 came with 305 hp
I really don't know how much hp the firehawk had, I think it was 315

I'll tell you this right now, don't listen to everyone on here, you'll get some information thats not true I know there's some true firehawk owner or people with knowledge to help you out.

(putting flame suite on)
The man knows his stuff.

96-97 WS.6's WERE built by SLP, and are rated @ 305 HP.
93-97 BASE Firehawks/95-97 Comp T/A were rated @ 305 HP. Optional Exhaust (2OTL) raised the rating to 315.
97 LT4 Hawks were rated @ 330 HP. Any Questions ?

How rare are the 97 LT4 Firehawks? And how much do you think (if being sold) one could be found?

Not true.

The LS1 WS6 was done at ASC the Hawk's were still done at SLP along with the SS's.

The 96-97 WS6, Hawk's and SS's were done at SLP then shipped back to GM for shipment to the dealers. WS6's and SS's were never done "in house"

Unless the engine was an LT4 the WS6 and the Hawks were both 305 HP engines actually using the same 285 HP engine that came in EVERY LT1 f-body. It is not uncommon for a formula or Z28 to take down a WS6 or SS stock for stock.

OOps my bad on the WS6 option. But the Firehawks were done at SLP for at least a while. According to a brochure I had picked up at a dealer, the 2002 SS was done by SLP. I assumed that since SLP was doing the SS they would be doing the Firehawks also. I do see in my SLP catalog that they sell Ws6 wheels too. So they must have had the WS6 program as well. And so I opalogize for my error, the last thing I want to do is give anyone here the wrong info.

AENIMA95z28 ,
I just went to that site and it states the following about the Firehawk...
"resulting in 305 HP and 335 ft-lbs of torque (300 HP and 325 ft-lbs prior to 1995). "

My car is a 94' and has 315hp. The plate by shifter has this info including the car number so the info on that site is incorrect.

the name Firehawk is proprietary and only made by SLP.<< period

i just seen a new hawk and i looked on the door sticker says made by SLP, very disappointing car to say the least.

i thought for that kind of $$ they were supposed to look better than a WS6.

92-the firehawk had 350hp L98 engine and 6speed for 39k you could get a fiberglass hood and full role cage for 49k

93-97 had 315hp lt1 with the exception of the lt4 in 97 which had 335hp (the extra 5hp came from the ramair or so they say)

I don't know about the 98-02's

Fellas...

All SLP or ASC did... was hood, air intake, and some exhaust mods... not necessarily justifying the extra cash... but other than that they were all "made" by GM... enhanced by SLP..
