Just need help on deciding if i should drop the extra clams for the fipk or not Please any light you guys could shed would be nice! thanks again!

I wouldn't.

I did do this a while back and took the loss on the FIPK. I didn't gain anything for the switch at all but did pick up 0.8 mph in the 1/4 when I went back to my stock SS airbox. I also put heat tape all under the bottom of the box to help with heat unitl I make a setup like what everyone uses with the Vortech intercooler..just to help keep the air cool. I havent dyno'd since I went back but I doubt there anything there.

Only down side it removal at the track to ice down the intake but I like the stock SS box...your choice really
