Thumbs up Finished w/Pacesetter longtube install

Overall, well, it sucked. I'm happier than hell now that it's done, but it was torture. I'm glad its done though...

Overall, the headers fit awesome. Both slid in the bottom without jacking the motor, without grinding anything or anything like that. Only thing I had to do is bend the A/C line on passenger side which is common with headers. Didn't need to jack up the motor either.

Plug access is great...I did all my plugs from the bottom in about 20-30 minutes.

The Y-pipe, well, it fits, but I need to have it welded to my catback tomorrow, so that sucks, but then again it was only $125, and the welding is going to cost $20.

Here's a video clip:

Cool video. Nice to see that they seem to be a decent quality product. Isn't it nice to fire it up when that job is done?

How is the ground clearance too? I am really hoping someone switches from Jet Hots or Hookers to these so we can see what the difference in ground clearance is. It appears that they have better clearance, which would be great for those of us that are lowered.

I heard a couple people say that the pacesetter install was REALLY easy.

glad to hear the plug access is good. Mine will be here wed. Can't wait. i'm going with a dual exaust.

Hopefully i will be able to get them on this week end. I have to work saturday and sunday at 4:30. I'll be waking up bright and early saturday to get them installed! And again on sunday to get the duals welded up.

Wow, you got off easy. I had to jack the motor up on both sides. How the fawk did you get the passenger side in from the bottom My install wasnt too bad, had to jack up the motor and remove the steering shaft on the drivers side and it slid right in, and on the passenger side i had to jack it up and play with it a bit to get the air fitting to clear. Plug access is amazing, drivers side can be done in like 2 minutes. Passenger side is a bit trickier.

No starter removal or anything like though, which is a big plus. Oh yeah dipstick tube too, but i think thats a must with any header.

The hardest parts were definitely getting stock manifolds/Y pipe off, and then the wires. I drove it today after having the cat-back welded on, and DAMN!!!!!! Pulls so freakin hard.....I love it

Heading over to the track wednesday! I'll post my times.

BTW, it's the pacesetter coating, and it looks REAL good. It didn't peel or anything while installing (they got a little scratched up and some spots, and the collectors where the Y-pipe clamps over)
