finished single plane!!!
finished single plane!!!
so i just finished my single plane install today.. it is a stock bottom end,cc503,P&P heads 270/210cfm,crane10308-1 springs,1.6 pro mags,42lb injectors,90mm fast tb,a-1000 fp reg.,lt4km,85mm slp maf,ram air, single plane intake w/custom sheetmetal elbow.. the car made 360rwhp & 402rwtq untuned limited at only 5100rpm before going lean..so there was more left in it for sure.. but i have not had a chance to fully tune it yet..i just put the 42lb injectors in the tune so it would run okay.. but i did drive it up the road and i can tell you it has absolutely no torque..lol witch is obviosly cause of being untuned but.. i will be dyno tuning it this week so it will be interesting to see the difference.. any thoughts on what it will make? and does anybody have any experiece tuning the single planes on here? what are the main areas to consentrate on?
i plan on going bigger lol..but i just want to see what i can get out of it with the cc503..since nobody has done it..and to let everyone know cause everyone always wants to know about a baby cam and a single plane.. so we will see what it does..btw im going with a 600lift cam after i see what i can do with this..
god only knows why...lots of people won't spend the time/money to get what they have running right, but are quick to jump on the bandwagon on the next greatest trick in the quest for power. Not saying the SP doesn't make power up high, but for 99% of the enthusiasts out there, the LT1/LT4/Edelbrock intake manifolds work just fine. That's a lot of work for a novelty piece.

A LOT of the problem with this mod is everyone wants to use 8500rpm rated intakes on relatively small under 7000rpm motors, pick a smaller manifold and it might actually work as the bench racers suggest it should.
