Finished A/C delete
The radiator shroud connects to the radiator and the metal part of the body, I believe it does not rest on the condenser... I also did A/C delete and the access you gain from the front of the engine on the passenger side is worth gold to me. And it gets hot here too but stupid GM put some turdy compressor that takes 50 horsepower to run that **** I can't even drive my car right with it on.
My A/C just blows out hot air because something doesn't work. I am thinking of just ripping the whole thing out too. I am so used to the heat and having the windows down that it doesn't bother me anymore. How hard is it to pull all this stuff out?
well, means you probably have a leak if all it does it pull out hot air.. a lot of that stuff will have to be replaced.. so you might as well rip it out if you dont want to spend 700 or more getting it fixed

Its not hard to pull out all the AC stuff, well except the evap core that is a PITA, mine is still in the car.
If I ever sell my car, highly unlikely, but if I do I would wait until someone who knows what they are buying comes along, after all it is a highly modded camaro and whether or not it has AC is pretty far down on the list for most of the gearheads I know.

Yeah, I would much rather spend 700 bucks on a nice set of headers and not Air conditioning. It is getting yanked. I want to make the car a targa top like Whistler, summer project for next year I guess.

The line will pull out of the back of the compressor once you get the bolt out.
One of my friends was running 14.0 at the track and when he turned the A/C on he ran 14.5.
Does anyone know how much drag there is on the motor when the A/C is not engaged??
just a FYI guys, put that canister in a Ziplock bag ASAP if you think you may ever sell/ re-install your ac system. That is your Reciever / DRYER it has silica in it to absorb moisture from the AC lines, letting it sit in the humidity will saturate and ruin it.
