Also, what RPM do you shift at?

I usually shift between 6100-6300 rpm.

Just had a quick question about your engine. It says you have 6' rods. I know standard 350 rods are 5.7 and 383 guys sometimes go with a 6' rod to reduce the pressure on the cylinder walls. I've never heard of using a 6' rod in a 350 or 355. I didn't even know you could.

very nice numbers. for you and as well for me, a good dyno-tune will bump up those numbers! sounds nice too!

very nice graph, should have good numbers with a full dynotune.

I was considering the 280XFI for my build, but went with a custom instead that was a little more aggressive. Good to see the XFI stuff is putting down respectable numbers.

Nice #s. I have to say, our cars sound pretty close to one another, at idle.

Common on a 355 build to use 6" rods, it allows you to use lighter pistons and get the benefits of a longer rod.

Great numbers for a mild cam.

I built a 383 motor with 6" rods one time and had to do some clearanceing on the block for the longer stroke. Any clearanceing needed to go to 6" with 355??

Thats a nice table top curve Sam. Any idea what RPM that dyno run started at? I'm guessing that at 60mph that would be roughly 3000rpm depending on gearing and what gear they are running in...you'd think it would be standard to use 4th on a M6 for 1:1 but I've found different shops seem to do it differently. Looks like 350rqtq across the spectrum is very nice. That spike at the end is probably an issue with the spark wire/rpm reference, have to just chop that off.

And wow, that baby was running lean! Better numbers are sure to come with a tune so I think you are just breaking the ice on its capabilities.

nice numbers out of that cam...its prrof you don't have to go large to make good power.

but one reason the TQ curve is so flat is the graph is in MPH instead of RPM.

+ the torque # is a spike, it looks like it made just under 350rwtq.

It was real flat around 350 mark then it spiked. I disregarded that spike for a reason.

definately interesting numbers for that small cam. this is the second dyno of this cam that i've seen so far and both made very good numbers. i'm half considering a step up to the xfi 224 cam but afraid i wont beable to control the lobes on that cam. they are just way to aggressive over the nose
