Finally repaired blown head gasket

Fellas,
We finished up the car tonight. It took all of 2 1/2 months of working on the car hear and there and all day today. I must give my 2 friends lots of credit because they did most of the work. The dyno numbers in the sig are with a blown head gasket (not completely blown-but just enough to make the car run hot intermitantly) and a blown header gasket on both sides. We come to find out that my heads were warped as well.
Point of this story...Its good to have mechanical friends that you can TRUST.
After all this, I won't be adding N2O, but I will go back to the dyno to see what the car will put down.
I'll send $20 cash in the mail to whoever guesses the closest dyno number.
Going to the dyno as soon as time permits me to.

Tim

Hey,
Those #s would be great but I don't think I'll dyno that high.
I'm thinking somewhere in the neighborhood of 406 rwhp 376 ft/tq

Re: Finally repaired blown head gasket

I haven't forgotten about this.
I'm going to the muffler shop to have two brand new Catco cats inserted into my y-pipe Saturday, March 5th. Got the cats from Summit for about $58 each. I got the universal 14" 3" in and 3" out cats. I will then change my oil back to the Royal Purple and spend the rest of the day with the wife and kid.
So basically, I'm trying to make reservations with the dyno for the following Saturday.
I want to have everything in Tip Top shape because this will be my final dyno run until the engine breaks and I get a stroker .... So whatever the car pull is what it will have. I'm done with engine mods. Suspension/appearance mods is different story, lol

Tim, what part of Atlanta are you in and what dyno are you going to? Good to see youve got your car running right again.

Ill guess 413rwhp and 381rwtq.

Well,
I'm going to the dyno tomorrow, Saturday March, 12th @ 10:00 AM.
I don't know how much over 400 rwhp I'll get, but hopefull I'll come home being an OFFICIAL member of the 400 club
I'll post the numbers as soon as I get home.

Re: Finally repaired blown head gasket

Thanks to everyone for the input.
When I say official member of the 400 hp club, I mean 400rwhp (Standard).
Since I only have 350 cubic inches, breaking the 400 rwhp mark SAE will be pushing it N/A, not saying that it can't be done, but I know it wont happen in my application.
Take Care everyone and I'll talk to you all tomorrow.

SAE 402 RWHP 364 RWTQ

If this guess wins, just use the $20 to stop by Kroger and buy your wife a dozen Roses and a card and thank her for allowing you to spend the $$$ on the car.
