Yea you lost me too... anywho, I liked my 97 more then my 96 because one there was no salad shooters in 97, 97 had the new interior, and this might sound stupid but I loved the drl's which started in 97....Might buy another LT1 in the near future, wouldnt mind finding something similar to what you found.
