Sorry, I didn’t mean to come across like an ***. I just remember not that long ago when people on this board were calling on Joe O. cams for producing inflated hp/tq numbers…now just because something isn’t right with your car, they’re not dyno cams. The fact is that dynos don’t lie…unless something is wrong with it, and that’s very rarely the case. A car’s ability to ET or “track good” really depends on car setup (gears, stall, suspension, traction, etc.), driver ability, and track conditions/DA. As an example, I’ve seen a 370rwhp Hot Cam (and heads) LT1 Corvette run consistent mid 11s at 119mph…it’s just a well setup car at some good northeast tracks. I’ll bet that you’ll find your missing hp/tq once you find/fix whatever is wrong with your car. Good Luck

LT4PWR...I didn't mean to sound like an a$$ back at you either. I'm not going to panic until I hit the track when the weather cools off a bit. I drove the car for 10 years with the LPE 383 package and tiny LPE cam to 11.70s at 118. Although I did not get a chance to do before and after dyno runs to see what gains were made the call "feels" faster than before especially in mid-top end. I'll also go back to the first dyno where I made 400rwhp on a richer tune. While both are Dynojets there could be some variables between them (even though there shouldn't be). Bryan at PCMforless said everything looked fine and there was nothing he could see wrong with anything. I even questioned him about him tuning the car with the stock, descreened MAF instead of the Granatelli that's been on the car since 1997 and he assured me that the stocker is better and all gains by the Granatelli at the track under the old LPE tune were just because it leaned out the tune that was already in the car. A custom tune doesn't need it. We'll see...12 bolt goes in Monday, then we'll play a little...come on cool weather...
