Finally gonna try to fix it.... need some help

Since the day ive had my formy (bout 1.5 years ago) its had a high rpm misfire when it gets hot. When i first got it, we gave it a good tune up: plugs, wires.. basically the works. Since then we've fixed the intake manifold leak, and ive replaced the coil, O2 sensors, and fuel pump, but im still getting the bad miss. After the car warms up for a while, it will start to miss at high rpms, and as it gets hotter, it will begin to miss at lower and lower rpms, all the way down to about 4k. I had been ignoring it, but recently the car doesnt seem to be running right at any rpm.. kinda like its not running at full power like it should. I'm thinking opti, but i wanna make sure thats it before i drop all the cash on a new one since im a poor college kid and have to spend wisly any help is appreciated

My opti did the same thing to me...high rpm misfire. Give Dal a call. I got my opti for less than $200.

I know the opti gets blamed for a lot of things, but mine did almost the same thing. Misfire only at high load, which got progressively worse. However, mine got progressively worse over a few weeks instead of over a year like you.

Not likely. In most cases, if an ICM is bad, you simply have NO spark and the car doesn't run.
