After checking around, everyone says the same about this type of dyno. Pretty promisiong to reach 400 RWHP on this type of dyno from what I gather although those #'s are nice to see regardless of the dyno.

Just going over the list of mods you have, I am sure the car is fast as hell regardless of dyno #'s, just like you mentioned.

The turbo porsche wasnt going nowhere tonight after i finally got out of the hole and i wasnt even taking it all the way up there.... One of the fun things about southern cali is theres all kinds of overpriced exotics around to play with. Gotta be careful for now though.

Congrats man! So you're the owner of this car eh? I have been talking to Mike over there by phone for the last month and he's been telling me about it since I will have a very similiar setup. Last time I talked to him this week he said that he was about to throw it on the dyno. Looks like it turned out really good . I'm tearing down my car right now to break down some of the cost for the install.

How high are gonna be spinning it to? Did you go obd1? He is recommending me to do so.

Yep thats my ride. The limiter is set to 6800 i believe and im shifting at 6600. Peak power occurs basically between 6k and 6400. Good luck with your machine man, dont cut any corners and it will be worth it in the end.

Yeah i would definately recommend OBDI if you are gonna be making a lot of power. The Madz28 conversion I got worked beautifully and at the end of the day Mike was actually impressed with the tune considering that Ion has never even seen the car...

It's a serious consideration in this state. You gotta have the hook-up

yeah its the truth you do gotta worry about smog here. but some places will make sure that it passes ;-) it just gets a little pricey. its a price I'm willing to pay in order to have 400rwhp cuz I can't exactly afford a new z06 right now either...

Anyways the car was making like 403hp and 381ft/lb very consistently the last several runs as we were finalizing the tune.

Good luck with your ride btw, it should very nice :-D

Steve
Yeah, that's me. It's not hush hush as you can tell by my sig. I'm just trying to do research up the ying-yang so we can get everything right.

That Dynopack dyno was really bad-**** to watch. The sound of your exhaust system made it that much more fun!

I concur...

Snorkelface, is that gonna be a daily driver? I'd hate to run into that beast on the street

It will be my primary daily driver. The motor is being built for high-mileage duty. With the way a turbo mutes the exhaust, I image there will be some very surprised people, and some pretty hurt egos along my commute (not that I promote street racing ).

I don't imagine any one will be surprised when they get beat after hearing black97z's car.
