i got a drivers side head off a 95 Formula that blew a head gasket. It turns out there is pitting around the ring of the head gasket in one spot. Also there is a indent of the head gasket ring in the same spot. I can feel the indent with my finger.

Is there some kind of filler that I can fill it with then sand down smooth to the rest of the head? id rather not have them shaved down since this is a bone stock car. To shave them down to that point would raise that compression too much i think.

bare with me this is my first time doing a head gasket besides doing it on a 3.1 v6
