A few problems with car. Plz help.

Nothing real major. But some problems. The first is that i hear a squealing noise that sounds like brake squeal. But i'm not breaking when it does it. I can't seem to figure it out. But it just started to happen recently. What could it be? Also i hear a clicking noise that seems to be coming front the drivers side of the engine. Around where the valve cover is. But i can't seem to pinpoint it out. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

the clicking is probably an exhaust leak, a good time to fix that would be when you do the AS&M headers you're planning

You think the manifolds could be leaking?

what do you think the squealing noise could be? It seems like it is getting more noticable now. But that may be because i am paying more attention to it now. Also i am seeing almost 5* of knock at wot. Would a exaust leak cause this? I am hoping it is false knock so i can go ahead and install my lt4 knock module without having to worry that maybe i'm just covering up real knock.

That ticking ont he drivers side sure is getting more popular around here lately Seems like I have seen at least 2-3 posts about it . I have the same problem too. I had it with the stock rockers, and now with the 1.6 RR. Seems funny it is always the same side.

Dont know about your squealing. Maybe your serp belt? What are you doing when you hear it? WOT, turning, with ac on?

I guess it could also be lifter tick. But with only 53,000 miles on my car my lifters shouldn't be ticking. As for the squeal. Its not a belt squeal. Its sort of like a screech. Its not very loud though. Sort of hard to explain. But it does it while i turn and while going straight or reverse. It also does it while i brake but not only while i brake.
