few little things

Hi everyone,
I have few questions for you. I am usually able to find out evreything i need by reading others threads but now my issues are more specific.

first my car is a 1994 formula a4. the car started to make a tickling noise when it is on load before I stored it for the winter. what could it be? the car runs rich too. the car runs good though

also, the car has been stored for 3 months now so all the oil is down in the pan, so i was able to notice that my valve springs are blue. is that normal?

one last thing, I have to put a good pressure on the brake to keep the car from moving at a red light.

I know that the engine had been rebuild by the previous owner, but that is all I know.
thx

the ticking noise could be a plug wire arcing, either its not on all the way or its damaged

Exaust leak will make that noise, and also make the car run rich! Check the exaust manifoild bolts.

blue valve spring???

thx for reply about the tickling noise. any of you have an idea on why I have to give good pressure on the brake to keep the car from moving. I first thought my brakes were bad but there are all brand new. I guess it is a vaccum problem, How do I figure it out? also, why my valve springs are blue??
thanks
