take some time to review your post before hitting the summit button. If it hadn't been for tanker, i wouldn't have understood what you were talking about.

no problem....just making you aware of it. Tanker is right though. I got a Walbro 255lph pump and plug and play harness from racetronix. Cheap, fast delivery, and very easy to install.

Does that install require dropping the gas tank? If so, how hard was that part of the install?

it is pretty involving, major PITA in other words
You don't need to drop the tank if you want to cut it, but some people might mind cutting their fuel tank , like I did.
You don't need to completely drop the rear end, you can let it hang on lower control arms so it is very easy to put it back in, just jack it up

Tanker and 1-bad...not to hijack the thread, but did you just get the kit from Thunder? The one for $160? It appears to have everything I'd need. Also I've seen the "trap door method" for installing the pump w/o taking down the tank...If done right, it looks fine. That's how I'm going to do mine...A good square cut in the floor right above where the pump/sender is located, replace pump, replace with custom access panel for future, well, access, or just replace the cut out piece using body seam sealer. Then replace carpet and only you know its there..It takes a local shop in Baltimore 1 hour to do it.

Racetronix had kit for sale, everything included for less than $100. Cutting or not cutting is a matter of choice, I just don't like cutting my car
When I changed fuel pump for my brother's camaro, it was my second time doing it, and it took total less than 4 hours to do it (both of us working, but my brother just did what I told him to do, he is not confident/experienced yet).

How long it will take you to remove rear seats, fold carped, cut floor, weld it back on/seal it? Probably shorter if you have a welded handy and you know how to weld, but it you were using sealer, you will need to wait for it dry.

Now in my case you need to remove driveshaft, torq arm, panhard bar, rear wheels; then drop the rear end and the tank; replace the pump; put back tank, rear end, install wheels, panhard bar, torq arm, and DS.

Dropping the rear is a bit more involving, but no cutting with sealing or welding; and this is the way dealers do if they replace fp.

Re: Feul pump vendor

Thanks, I'll contact them directly, then...and I forgot...My back seat is out, which is not in the way anyway, and the original owner cut out the rear carpet (for weight reduction, now I'm just leaving it out in anticipation of an 8 point bar)...I keep forgetting that others have to spend time removing the interior

Like you said its all a matter of preference. The factory should've made an access panel on that rear deck to make things easier imho...thanks again..
