Question FelPro vs. ARP Head bolts?

This question might be totally pointless, but here goes.

I picked up a set of Fel-Pro head bolts for ~$25 today, compared to the ~$50 that Summit charges for ARP head bolts. Is there any major quality difference? I'd hate to blow my engine over such a small price difference.

I was always told that ARP made superior bolts. I dont know what the actual difference is but I have heard that a couple of times.

Mabee you can find out here:

http://www.arp-bolts.com/

Or give ARP a call and find out what makes thier Head Bolts superior to other head bolts.

Hope that helps a little,

why the hell would you reuse something as vital as head bolts? And if you mean cuying new GM bolts, they probably cost more than the ARP. Get the ARP, they are very good.

Besides, he has TTY bolts.

Where's the cheapest place to score a set of ARP's?? Also, what's the difference between head bolts and head stud kits? Thunderracing.com sells head bolts for $55, and head stud kits for $120??

unless you have an extremely high hp machine with lots of boost or whatever, bolts are fine. bolts are just bolts. studs are a stud and a nut to hold the head down.

Jegs and summit are the cheapest places for ARP head bolts.
