FelPro Oil Pan Gasket: Use RTV or NO
As the topic states. It is already up and awaiting to be bolted in. I don't want to apply if I know it's a solid seal and would only mess up the tight seal, but would do whatever for best assurance. Please let me know your experiences with the gasket.

if your referring to the blue rubber felpro gasket then yes i always put rtv on it too. i only put it on the front cover and where it meets the block and on the rear main and where it meets the block. not a whole lot just enough to fill in any gap that might be there. i dont want to have to go back in there so i make sure its not gonna leak.

Wow... for the first time, I agree with everyone. I did the exact same thing putting my motor back together. I only put it on the front and rear corners like the two guys before said. No need for it anywhere else. Just the corners because of the added clearance.

So I just dab a little on the gasket where it meets the pan or on the pan itself?
Plus, I also noticed I have a leak at the crank position sensor, I pulled the sensor out and see that the rubber o-ring is kinda warped. I hope I can find a replacement.

I just did this last week on my LT1 vette.
I used Ultra Black RTV. You put the RTV at the corners where the block meets the rear main seal housing and the timing cover gasket, and then install the gasket & pan. The RTV seals those sharp corners where the gasket may not actually seal well.
