Felpro gaskets at Discount Auto? Are they .039's?
Im fairly sure felpro only makes .039 thick replacement gaskets for our Camaro z28s. The guy at discount didnt know the specs on it.
impala = .029
felpro = .039
stock = .051
right?
Just want to make sure i got the .039 thick gaskets. Not sure which is the part number on here.. there are lots of numbers.. if anyone knows the .039 thick gasket number could u post it? thanks.

I called up Fel Pro.. The ones I have are .049 thick and are not 1074's..
THe guy on the phone tried telling me that .039 thick gaskets on a 11.3:1 engine will cause it to detonate on pump gas 93.
I dont think so.. Im going with .039 felpros. He must be confused or unaware of reverse cooling, aluminum heads and better quench for atomization of fuel..
