Felpro 1406 question

What material(s) are they made out of? Also, I have heard people saying copper gaskets are not that good...why?

I'm running Felpro 1406 gaskets that came with my TPiS Longtubes.Haven't had any problems. I think they are graphite.
I used to have SLP Dual cat Shorties and when we put them in I used copper gaskets thinking they were better.
The passenger side leaked right from the beginning and we replaced it with the supplied SLP metal graphite gasket which sealed fine.
Don't use copper gaskets. I have a set of percy's dead soft thick aluminum gaskets I wound up not using if you want to use a metal gasket.

Fel-Pro Performance exhaust header gaskets are made from high temperature, high density fiber material around a perforated steel core for durability and heat resistance. Plus their precoated for easy removal.

Specifications:
* Perforated steel core with antistick coating
* Fits "D" port size 1.53 in. x 1.63 in.
