Feel like a traitor....sold my 97Z

After owning my 97 Camaro for over 5 years I feel like I'm selling one of my children.....
Anyhow, the replacement is a 02 Z28 6-speed. The car only has 4,700 miles on it. That alone didn't sway me.....but the price was just too good for me to pass on. So, I'll be off for the LS1 board.

I appreciate all the help I got from guys like Shoebox and Ibanez when I wanted to take a sledgehammer to my LT headers and other mods. Your short advice was of great value.

Can't say the thought hasn't crossed my mind 5,000 times. Enjoy the new ride.

Probably. I had a 3.4 Firebird in 97 and then a 3.8 Camaro in 98. I was on the f-body.net board back then. I got the 97Z in 98 and added to her until now. Now with an LS1 I've owned every engine in the 4th gen line-up Scary.
It was a tough decision. I debated for two weeks. I was attached to my 97, and it was nearly paid for. However, I got the new car for under trade in allowance. It has a clean record and 2 years of warranty left. I know I won't find that kind of offer again. So.......

Unhappy sad times

i myself have owned two f-bodies... the first being a 68 camaro 327 with a muncie 4sp. I sold it about 2 years ago for a 70 corvette. Yet the f-body line keeps calling my name, so this summer i bought my 94 z28 (i still have the vette ), it feels damn good to be back in the fbody family. I regret selling my 68 every day.... so i plan on keeping my 94 as long as i am around.....I will never sell another one of these great automobiles. As for LS1's .... good luck, they are great cars. I myself can not pass up test driving one whenever i see one on a used lot. If i do get one... by god... It will set right next to my Lt1, because there is no way in hell i am making the same mistake twice... best of luck with the Ls1
