Faulty ACDelco??

Car had stumbling problem. Scanned it and the left 02 was stuck at like 1200 then out of no where it would go to around 400 something and the car would be normal. Then it would freeze up again. Brand new 02 sensor from AC Delco......has anyone ever heard from an 02 sensor doing this? I find it very odd.

Its possible a new part could be bad. I'd check the sensors harness as well as the wires could be melted...

come on hyper you know acdelco never send out duds lol .

It is very possible that your o2 sensor is a dud , or better yet it might even be the wrong one depending on where ya got it from.

one time napa gave me a starter for my 84 , bad part was it was for a manual not an auto and would not turn my car over. I didnt discover this till I took it back to NAPA thinking it was a dud. They tested it and it worked for them. Then they checked the number on it and it was the wrong damn starter. Cleaned it best I could before I brought it back but hes like "How the f*** you expect me to sell this now" I told him "I expect you to sell it to someone with a manual." lol

If it is the car's harness:
AC-Delco #PT368 / GM p/n 12102741 for a replacement pigtail.

If it is on the O2 side of the plug, get a new O2 sensor.

seems both the pigtail and the harness are toast. Where they actually clip together is TOAST. Geez, wonder what kind of problems this has been causing.

Shoebox - I'm going to order this connector right? and do i think i need a new 02 even though i have a 12" extension? I guess i might as well replace both of em though and just get this 100% fixed.

P.S. - thanks...alot.

P.S.S. - I'll be putting up pics soon so everyone can check it out.

That should be the correct connector. If you have extensions and the actual plug for the O2 sensor is not the one burnt, then you need something to fix your extension (or get new extension) and not a new O2 sensor.
