I am not trying to start anything 95z6speed but I think you may lose mph with the ET streets instead of gain. Unless you make the power most people lose mph with tires under the car. When I put Nitto's under mine I stayed just the same.

yea his is an auto, I have a M6 with an Adam Neff driver mod M6's are usually worth about 2mph over a comparable auto.Plus i heard from SAR2k himself that his best mph was 111.5 in great weather.

30th, I would agree with you in some cases, but in this case, I'm walking my M6 out of the hole for the first 30+ feet. With slicks I plan on dumping the clutch around 5000 and going to full throttle instantly. Although the M/T's will produce more drag over my Nitto's, I will be putting way more power to the ground, much sooner. This should give me a mph or so overall. Of course we'll see in time.

A4's have this nifty thing attached to their flexplate called a torque convertor... Some of the STR's on those are purpose built for drag racing. Adding some extra torque down low to get a car up and moving pretty quick. Steve's car was a perfect example of this. And for what you're planning to do.... Well, it hasn't been done by any M6 yet. No matter who s driving .

Jose's got the fastest stock M6 car that I can think of.. And best he mustered out of his car was 12.4's. A feat still no interally stock M6 has beat yet...

Good to know. I guess Jose's record will be the first one to gun for. Yea those torque converts are definetly cool parts , but they also arent able to launch @ 5,000+. I prefer to transfer the power the old fashion way, actually kicking the clutch and yanking the shifter. To me there is no comparison in satisfaction after completing 3 full on powershifts compared to a (yawn)auto. But hey, to each his own. Its all fun.
So 12.39's and I'll own the record for fastest bolt on M6. Cool

Here's what he ran.. Way back in '01 ..

60ft - 1.74
660ft - 7.9@87
1/4 - 12.48@110.55

So a 12.47 is all you'd need to run

Hell, just with the cut-out, cai, and rink a dink free mods i ran 13.1 on street tires and i still have headers and $hit to go. I hope to be pretty far in the 12's with headers and 1.7's. Maybe some 4.10's also to replace my 3.23's. Then i will be happy for the time being.
