FAST and LT1 harness questions
FAST and LT1 harness questions
Hi all I have a few simple FAST questions in regard to LT1 cars. First off I have an 87 Monte Carlo SS that I want to drop an LT1 in and run a single turbo setup. My question is I will be running FAST for engine manegment and for those that are doing the same does the FAST ECU replace the factory ECU and plug into the stock harness or does it piggy back the stock ecu? I dont care about retaining any of the factory ecu functions. Also if your running a cranktrigger system instead of the optispark how much does that usaly run? thanks
Re: FAST and LT1 harness questions
The FAST harness is stand-alone, and does not require the factory ecm or harness. Some vendors sell an interface (piggy-back) harness that retaines the factory ECM/harness, but I would advise against that for what you're doing.

But you get what you pay for.
Re: FAST and LT1 harness questions

I am familiar with Tec 3 and FAST but have neevr seen accel DFI first hand. any insite on pros and cons or a thread i may have missed in my searches?
