farewell...

I know this belongs in the lounge...but...it is meant for all you LT1 guys. Well guys i sold my car... / Lot of mixed emotions about it. A couple of months ago I unofficially put it up for sale ( a price I didn't think anyone would pay ) in my inner circle of friends and race enthusist here in the state. Two weeks ago I finally made it to the track and had the chance to spray....after some playing around I ripped off a 11.91 at 118 mph ( thats with the stock 3.23 10-bolt ). I was very happy....breking into the 11's was my goal from the beginning with this car when I bought it over three years ago...it was a long....BUT VERY FUN JOURNEY!!! This weekend a guy that was at the track that weekend talked to one of my friends...stopped by the house and plopped down the cash ...as the car backed out of the driveway I seriously think I was in shock ... The next day being the roughest of course...going to garage and seeing the empty spot . Hind sight...it was probably the right decision...I really never expected anyone would give me that $$ for a 93...I would have spent a lot more $$$ next spring. I will say this...of all the cars I have have over the last 25 years (everything from big block Chevelles to 69 Z28's) this was my absolute favorite car!! Well on to the next project.. Looking at a Grand National now..never played the boost game maybe its time to try!! I want to say THANK YOU to all of you guys for the help you have provided over the past 3 years. A very special thanks to Alvin at pcmforless...the car would never been able to get where I wanted it to without your tuning.. I will check back every once and a while to see how things are going...you all take care..DM

Thumbs up Re: farewell...

I was heart broken after i sold my 69 rs, but I was young and stupid at that point in time. I have come close to putting my 93 up for sale, but there is no way I could get enough cash to justify me selling it. Good luck with you next project. mmmmm.... boost

Re: farewell...

How much did you get for it? I think you did the right thing i would rather have a grand national anyday over an f-body but they are just too expensive to find a good one.
