I noticed my cooling fans stay on alot longer than I remember it did with the 180 Thermostat. I'm thinking less heat so the longer it takes to transfer heat energy to the air, as there is less temperature differential. makes sense?

There is no logical reason the fans would stay on longer, unless your temperature is higher or you did not get all the air bled out of the system.

Yes with the 160 stat and tuning mine rarely come on unless its way hot outside but I did not notice them staying on longer than normal. If its extremely hot outside they will stay on as long as the engine temps are above the PCM turn off temp.
