Fans squeak after water pump change

I changed out my water pump yesterday, and I've got some new problems. The old pump was really shot. So we get it in pretty well and now the fans squeak pretty bad. When we first started it up, they squealed like a banshee, even louder than the exhaust and engine. It's not quite as bad now, but it wasn't doing this before the water pump change. We didn't maul the fans as far as I know. They didn't squeak before, but after the change they do. Both fans squeak, I tried them both by hand and they both do it.

So, any idea because this is really embarassing.

Spray the motors with wd-40. Coolant is not a really good lubricant. Bet it goes away.

Re: Fans squeak after water pump change

turn the fans by hand and see if you can locate the noise (BE CAREFUL, pull the relays or fuses or something, or the battery cable)
