Fans not on at A/C, temp rising...

So I turn on my A/C and my temp rises. So I guess my fans are not coming on at A/C.
I have a manual switch so I have to turn it on that way. Atleast I know the fans works.
Today I will look under the hood and see if the fans are coming on at A/C but I forget which fan suppose to come on at A/C. High or low? Anyhow, in the meantime as I check that..Why isnt my fan coming on at A/C? Is there a fuse involved or anything that I blew or whatever. Bcuz something is preventing he fan to engage. Man I have no idea.

Thanks,

PEPPER

If you have a 1996, both fans should come on at low speed when you turn on the a/c. Since you have a fan switch and say that you are able to turn them on with it, then the bulk of the fan circuity is working. Perhaps you did something when installing your fan switch that is interrupting the signal from the pcm to the fan relays. You should see a ground on the drk grn wire that goes to the fan relays when the a/c is turned on. If you have LEDs with your fan switch, you should also see one LED come on when the a/c is turned on.

Actually, the switch was installed a long time ago. All of a sudden this started happening. Unless my recent oil change has something to do with it but I doubt that. If that makes any sense? I havent been able to take a look too closely at the fans since I'm at work but I'm wondering my recent oil change..for what ever reason is making my car run hoter. That sounds so not right tho but I'm calculating the events in which the high temp started happening. Anyhow, I switched from 5w 30 to 10w 30.
