Fan switch question

Yesterday where I live in illinois it was 98 deg. I decided to install my fan switch. After I was done I go to get in the car to see if everything was working properly. Everyhting works but now my abs inop light is on. Is this normal? It is a virgin 97 m6 that has never had anything wrong. Did I mess something up? Please tell me this happens all the time!

Thanks, Dave

Re: Fan switch question

Do you have a burnt out 3rd tail light?

If not... did you cut any other wires than the two signal wires to the fans?
Did you include the diodes?

Re: Fan switch question

I'm sorry, I should have told you that it is an slp fan switch. So there's my problem, all I had to do was unplug and plug in a connector. I sure hope there's nothing wrong!

Thanks, Dave

Re: Fan switch question

I just installed that switch on my car and didn't get that problem. Maybe something isn't making contact. Take the switch harness off and see if the light goes away.

Re: Fan switch question

Did you happen to disturb the connector with the tightly twisted green and tan wires that are near where you plugged in your fan switch wiring?

Re: Fan switch question

I'm not sure if I did or not. If something was wrong, how would I go about fixing the problem? I'm all most positive that the only thing I did was unplug the c100. I will check tonight as soon as I get home.

Thanks, Dave

Re: Fan switch question

Where is the plug in for the green and tan wires? Behind the pcm?
