fan switch info (*different question)

When doing a fan switch for the LT1 cars, do you need to run the 47 ohm resistor between the switch and the place where you tap into the harness.

Assuming you had a plug in harness, (like the slp one) would you be better with a diode between the pcm and the add on switch. Or just use the 47 ohm resistor.

I have various 98-02 Ls1 cars that i will be testing my new fan mod on, but no lt1's

All help is greatly appreciated.

The 47 ohm resistors are for use on OBD-II cars to keep the pcm from throwing trouble codes because of the switch.

The diodes are only necessary if the LEDs don't work right.
