While I'm driving my 95 Z28 in the city the fan comes on. Not even in traffic. Just normal city driving with a few red lights. I have a 160* thermo and custom tuning to turn the fan on at 160* but it has only done this recently. The temperatures are barely in the forties. On the highway it stays off as far as I can tell. It just doesn't like city driving. Any suggestions? Should I be worried or is it nothing? Thanks for any help.

Sounds normal for as low as you have the fan ON temp. I really don't see how it ever goes OFF at that low of a setting.

 

Thanx Shoebox. I'm glad to hear its normal for my On temperature. The car runs nice and smooth, just didn't know why the fan came on most of the time. I had the car programmed last year just before I parked it so I nevere really drove it in warm weather until I took it to Florida the other week. Down there it was 90* every day so I know why it didn't shut off, but back here in cold country I was surprised!! Thanks again. You are a wealth of information!
