falls on face with 100 shot???

ok i changed the wires, plugs, and finally the opti. well i fixed the miss i was having but im still having problems with the nitrous. when i het the wot switch it comes out the gate hard but when it reaches about 4k to 4500 rpm's it falls off bad. it also has a hard time picking back up after it switches gears into 2nd. even below 4500 you can feel its just not smooth at all. have any of you had a problem like this before? on just motor she runs great now. i thought it was a miss and the nitrous was just making it a lot more noticable but now i see its something else. maybe o2's,running lean or what? any suggestions will help, and sorry this is so long. thanks guys

"falling on it's face" with nitrous is often a sign that the nitrous solenoid has shut off, and you're dumping fuel into the intake. Scan it, see what's going on...

yeah i got a bottle warmer. it stays about 900 to 950 so i dont think thats the problem.

can a nitrous solenoid work half way? i mean can it open just a little? i know how they work on a plunger basis i just dont have many people to talk to about it. there nx solenoids too by the way.

check the solenoids and check your valve springs...

i may be wrong but have you ever seen a solenoid work half way? i mean usually there either open or shut. now i havent messed with the springs or anything but i wouldnt think that would be a problem. is that usually something that has to be done to these lt1's? thanks

I dont run nitrous, so this is a shot in the dark. What are you doing for spark retard? If your not running a seperate tune, or running high octane juice, maybe your seeing retard? Nitrous forum may be of more help.

either nitrous or fuel isn't getting for some reason-

seeing how your motor is not a melted composit of metals, i think its the nitrous that is lacking

again, try nitrous forum

if you have a FPSS try disconnecting it for a run, see if thats the problem. Also, get the bottle hotter, i like spraying at over 1000psi, runs alot smoother. I notice if i'm spraying at 900 it kinda sputters a bit, higher psi runs smooth and KICKS hard.

im running the lt4 knock module but thats about it. im not running a fpss. the only thing i have inline between the bottle and the solenoid is the nx pressure switch for the bottle warmer. is there anyway to check the nitrous side and see if its getting the right amount? maybe an air / fuel ratio gauge? i thought these kits were designed to be able to put it right on an lt1 with no adjustment or upgrades? well you know how that goes.

as for the nitrous forum if somebody could move this that would be great. i dont know how to do that.thanks guys

What are your plugs gapped at? Sounds like your blowing the spark out.

take out the nozzle, ground out the window switch if you have one, then arm the system and hit the WOT switch. Look at the misting and see how it's foggin.............

Regap your TR6's to .35, thats what I had mine at when I was spraying a 100 shot.

Sounds like you should look over your wiring. Sounds like somethings shorting out, maybe a falty connecton, or wires arn't big enough to carry the current.
