Fair price or how much shop time?
Fair price or how much shop time?
Was wondering, how much would be a fair price or how much shop time for:
New poly bushings throughout on the front end
Install shocks front/back with Eibach springs
Alignment
BTW, they charge approx. $50 / $55 hour for labor.
Thanks

Hours?? Or dollars? I wish.
Anyone else? I'm going this week to get a quote and I would like to kind of know what I'm looking at. Or how much plasma I'm going to have to sell. I hear they're paying pretty good right now. Hmmm.
Thanks.

I'll comment on the springs/shocks...
A mechanic that charges $50+ bucks an hour should, by default, know what they are doing. Having said that, my mechanic buddy and myself did springs and shocks front and rear in under 2 hours and that included removing a "boom" system from the rear and re-installing it. I didn't do much myself except the stereo wiring. So, the spring and shock install shouldn't cost you around $100... assuming they aren't doing it by "book" at $50 an hour.

Like Brent said it dosen't take to long to do the springs and shocks.. mine took 4 hours by myseld.. with lots of beer breaks.. but when you take it to a shop they usually take their sweet a$$ time and such I would look in upwards of $450 for your whole deal.. my suggestion.. buy a decent toold kit for about $150, rent a spring compressor from auto-zone and go to town on it yourself and have some bonding time between you and your car.. I rarely let anyone touch my car and it makes me feel better knowing that everything on that car I dod.. course that's just me.
