failed emissions
failed emissions
well spring is coming and it is time to start thinking aout the fact I failed emissions just before I put the car away for the winter.
I dont know where to start and I dont just want to start replacing stuff because that gets expensive the numbers are kinda bad and any suggestions would be great.
the o2`s are original and the cat is 2 years old.

I know you say your cat is 2 years old but to me it looks like you may need a new ones. Usually when you pass curb idle barely and fail HC/CO/NOx on 40km it's a good indication it's the CAT(s). I REALLY hate Ontario's drive clean program, they keep lowering the allowable amounts each year by 1.5% compounded! Oh and since that was 2003 the limits will now be lower then that.

and our centers are directly connected to the MTO computers by VIN nuumbers so they cant run one car instead of another because they plug their computer directly into your cars computer to read the VIN.
I was thinking the cat could be shot also.I race the car every weekend from April to September so I would think that could be hard on the cat.
BTW I only have one cat as I converted to a single cat system.

I tried a search on google for it and most of what I found said diesel, is this just a marketing attempt to make people think "wow it works for deisel cars too!?!?"

That Guaranteed To Pass Stuff DOES NOTHING!! Don't waste your money on it.
I tried it in both my car and truck after failures with no results change.
You only get your money back if you can prove that all the original emissions equipment was working correctly with all the OE engine settings.
Try adding 6L of 99% isopropyl alcohol to 10L of 87 octane gas OR mix 15L 87 octane with 4L naptha (coleman campstove fuel). I have heard positive things about these concoctions, but don't have first hand results though.
