factory oil cooler?

Yes you do have a factory oil cooler, it is just that the factory cooler routes coolant around the oil as it passes through the oil filter to cool it.
I was just pointing out that an aftermarket oil cooler is better, and trying to explain that the factory cooler doesn't route the oil from the block as an aftermarket does.
Sorry for the confusion.

Ok, was the oil cooler installed as an SLP (SS option) considered an After Market cooler? From your explanation, I would say "yes" since I believe the oil is actually routed through the cooler.
If, as you say, that the A-Market cooler is better, how so?
Just curious, since if the oil is actully routed through the cooler, wouldn't it be necessary to clean the cooler when you change your oil lest any dirt or debris remain in the cooler even after the oil and filter are changed?
Thanks
