Question F-Body noob needs some advice

i recently acquired a 93z28 (free ;p) that has been sitting for about 2 years. It has been started on and off, but i dont know when the last time it actually ran was. I wont be able to do too much with it until i get my house loan approved so i have a garage to do it in, but i just need to know what im getting myself into.

I know for sure im going to need a nose for it, and i have another wrecked 4th gen (94 v6 car) that has a hood i can scavenge plus the interior parts i need.

car can be seen HERE

It needs a little TLC, but definitely not bad for free.

Forget that... I'll give you $100 for it.

Well I was thinking, -it's not close enough until the Neon's license plate is in contact with the opti.

hehe thanks for the words of encouragement guys, the neons bumper was never touching it ;p the front was cracked when we towed it.....i do LAN administration / database work for our towing company and the car was an impound for unlicensed driver and the guy never came to pick it up, so it went thru lien and we acquired it. The owner (my fiancees dad) asked me if i was interested int it and i said hell yes!

One of these weekends im going to be cleaning and airing out the interior and ill hose it off and take some more pics of it, and im sure ill be posting more and more as i get into the car.

Will do!

already have been shopping around for a nose (anyone ever bolt up a nose from www.autobodypartsonline.com?) have a hood that needs paint, and my buddy Matt @ TT Performance is hooking me up with great deals on SLP CAI and exhaust, and possibly some ROH wheels.

FREE!!!!!!!!!!
Damn, and i thought i gota good deal with paying $2500 for my 93Z. (salvaged AZ title, but when i registered it here in NM they for got to add that part ) the front end isnt too bad, but then again i bought mine from the dealer (ouch), just donna forget the headlight retainer bracket, it will make the front end hang a little low. looks like the car just needs a little TLC, get some sea foam, and all the basic tune up stuff (plugs, wires, oil change, ect...) and bring that Z back to the land of the living!

should i be worried about the opti crapping out on me? its got over 100k on it, is there any way i can tell if the stock optis been replaced? and it a vented opti replacement a possibility?

only thing the car is costing me is 2 years back registration fees.

Yeah, the opti sucks.. You'll just have to roll with the punches and wait until it goes.

Only way to tell if it's been changed, -might be if it's cleaner than everything else around it.. And yes, you can swap on a 95 vented opti.
