Extreme Duty Timing Set Crucial?

How crucial (and why?) is it to have an ED Timing set w/ heads & cam?

Alot of guys are running cammed/heads cars that left the stock timing chain there. Then there are other guys (like me) that break the stock chain with a not far from stock application. I would say if you are spending a good amount of money on heads to either run a double roller (Cloyes) with an electric waterpump or get a LT4 ED chain set to ensure you aren't going to have to go thru the same garbage as me with a broken chain. Mostly just good insurance and piece of mind, but not necessary.

I went to the Extreme Duty chain when I changed the block a couple of years back. The stock chain was pretty stretched.

More RPMs = more stress. The Cloyes 9-3145 (I think*) is a beast as well, but you need to run an electric waterpump to ditch the stock gear drive.
