extra hose???

Unhappy extra hose???

i just got done putting new water pump in and my new pump has one less small hose fitting, that would of took the hose from the bottom right of the radiator (drivers side) am i gunna have to take everything off again, or can i just put a plug in the hose???????

Did you get the LT1 water pump that was designed for the Impalas? I have a feeling thats what happened because I believe that they have one less tube coming out of it.....

it is part number #12527739 which is the number some one gave me when i asked for the part number.

That is a Corvette pump. They don't use the bypass hose, because they don't have an oil cooler option. You could probably plug the radiator hose without adverse effects.

The F-body pump is 12527741, as shown on my part numbers page.

The Impala pump is 12527240.

do you think that would be a good idea, or should i just go through the hassel of returning it.

If not installed, I would get the right one. If installed, not sure what I would do. I guess I would be more comfortable with the right pump, but be tempted to plug the hose.
