experienced members board please help! and have patience

I am not experience at all in rebuilding LT1 or modifying them, nor am i experienced at this message board. i have had alot of trouble getting the information i want because im not being specific or naming all of my issues so i will try again. i have a 1994 Z28 automatic with b & m shift kit. i have installed an air foil and CAI, so my experience is pretty limited. i REALLY want to and am determined to install new ported heads, a new cam kit and other things. i already decided on the moroso CAI, the magnaflow CB exhaust, pacesetter LT headers, and a pcm for less tune. i know that i will need 30lb injectors, a new timing chain, and new gaskets after talking to lloyd at eportworks.com . where can i buy the cc503 cam (combination motorsports i was told)

Re: experienced members board please help! and have patience

i apologize my computer just sent that without me finishing.

---where can i find the cc503 cam for my car ( i was told combination motor sports) and what/where can i find the other necessary parts to install it, such as the parts that come in the LT4 hot cam kit. it would be really easy if the 503 came in a kit like the lt4 does, so i could just order it all at once. if anyone knows where i can find a kit like that for the cc503 or a list of necessary parts it would tremendously help me in my progress. ALSO, if anyone could please help me on the head issue. i would like to buy heads that were already ported and assembled and ready to just bolt in...but i dont know what heads nor where to buy them. or would it be worth my money to have eportworks.com port them and assemble them for me? PLEASE help i sincerely appreciate your information and your patience.
again, the only mods i have are the air foil, the cold air intake, the upgraded airflow sensor, and the b & m shift kit. thank you

So other than asking about the cam, there are no questions? "CC503" refers to an off-the-shelf grind from Comp Cams. Almost every place that sells performance parts can get it.

Lots of people here have had great experience with Lloyd Elliots head work. I suggest getting in touch with him and having him port and set the heads up.

I agree with rskrause on this. If you do not want to tear the motor down till you have all of your parts together, pick up a set of stock castings out of the for sale section or a salvage yard and send those off to be ported.

Call Combination and tell them what your goals for the car are and they give you exactly what you need (a complete package). I worked with Seth while he was there (think he's gone now) but the whole group there was always willing to talk and answer questions.

I have seen Lloyds and AI's work, both were also willing to answer questions I had (even though I went with a local machinist when all was said and done). I will probably go with AI if I ever go through the engine since they are in NC and did offer to take me on a tour of their facility if I wanted.

I am running a set of LE2 heads and the Comp 503 in my Impy. Great combo. Very streetable and will turn good times at the strip. Call Lloyd and tell him what your goals are. He is very attentive to your wants and needs. I know I must have called him 50 times and every time he took the time out to answer every question I had. Lloyd rocks

As for the Comp 503 any well known speed shop can get it or may even have it in stock. It is a fairly common off the shelf grind for the LT1. Good Luck.
