Question Exhausted all my ideas...advice please

For the past few weeks I have had a mysterious ticking/clicking that speeds up with acceleration and never ever goes away. I knew I had a few exhaust leaks so I pulled my headers and replaced the gaskets. All the exhaust leaks were sealed but I still have the noise. So I replaced the spark plugs and the wires. Tick is still there. I drained the oil to look for metal shavings or chunks....nothing.

Mods that I have:
LT4 Hotcam
CC Pro Mags
Crane springs
MAC headers
PCMForLess tuning

The temp is normal. Oil pressure is normal. Only thing weird is that the car will stall out sometimes if I go from D to Reverse and also sometimes the idle is lopey.

Any help would be appreciated.

um check your rocker arms. Make sure they are properly tightened. And about the idle being lopey, um duh, its a hotcam, its gonna lope some

Well I know it is supposed to be lopey but since the program raised my idle to up around 800 all of sudden it likes to dip to around 500 when I almost come to stop and then revs back up to 800.

Oh and about the rockers I have readjusted them 4 times in the last month.

A friend of mine had a similar issue where his car would drop to about 500 and almost die...and then jump back up again. After a couple months he finally learned that a fuel injector had gone bad and once that was fixed the problem totally went away.

not sure....cuz im no car expert but just a thought that you mihgt want to check that out. good luck.

Lifters are only about 6 months old and it really isnt a lifter type tick.

I am thinking that maybe my roller rockers are just really loud

As mentioned above - check valve lash. Sounds like rockers are too tight.
