Which just answered the question I was going to pose

Now, I was originally going to go with the SLP 2OTL. However, my best friend said he heard it on an LT1 at a car show, and said I wouldn't like it, as it would probably be too loud for me. How big is the difference between the dual dual and the 2OTL? Is the dual dual not much different from stock? What I like about the 2OTL is I know it flows better, and its like $200 less! I couldn't care less that it only flows out one side...everyone knows these cars have fake duals anyways...

So how big of a difference is there? Thanks for all the responses...I've been debating this for a long time! Whats the 2OTL like at part throttle?

Too loud? Definitely not on a stock car. Now, if you have no cats and headers, the note may be a bit different.

The 2OTL has one of the sweetest cruising notes you will ever hear. As with any system, it will get a little louder with age (years), but never an obnoxious raspy tone.

Another vote here for Dynomax Ultra-Flow Welded race muffler. For a so-called "race muffler", it's really quiet at idle, even on a cam/heads car with headers and a gutted cat. It's still pretty mild at highway speed-won't make you deaf by any means. Put your foot in it though, and Mmmm....Mmmm....sounds really good. I sure like it; get complements on it from everyone who rides in my car.

I would almost call the dual-dual setup the Muzak version of the 2 on the left. If you think the 2 on the left is too loud then the dual-dual would be right up your alley.

I love my random tech. Deep low rumble at idle, great WOT sound, and the half-throttle everyday driving turns heads. It's awesome.

Personally I think the 2OTL is too loud inside the car. The B&B is a nice sounding exhaust that won't annoy you inside the car. Or you can do something custom. Almost any system with a 3" bullet style muffler on the i-pipe will be fairly quiet. If you get a system and think it's too loud, just add the second muffler and you will be happy.

There are several excellent sounding exhausts out there!

Hooker sounds good, SLP 2OTL sounds good, Borla, Dynomax Ultraflow.

I personally went with the Magnaflow. I love the 3" mandrel bent stainless steel tubing into the muffler, and the dual 3.5" polished stainless tips.

I am VERY pleased with the sound. I will admit that I hear it inside the car more with the Magnaflow than I did the stock exhaust, but it's not as loud as I would say some are.

I posted sound clips, recorded from the same position relative to the car, with the same laptop computer, of before and after. The only thing that changed, was physical location of the car (before was recorded at home, and after was recorded at exhaust shop parking lot) and the catback.

Here's my original post for the sound clips: http://web.camaross.com/forums/showt...hreadid=121348

Well thanks for the opinions...I'm glad the SLP 2OTL seems to get top billing, as that was my first choice. I may wait until SLP day in October to finally decide, so I can hear some first. Its going to always be stock cats and stock manifolds...this car will never be a heavily modded car, as I like originality on a car like this. Its fast enough for me All I plan to do is the exhaust, SLP CAI, 1LE elbow and airfoil, maybe a programmer, and call it quits.

If anyone else has any advice, feel free to throw it in!

I've got the Edelbrock Cat-Back and it is very smooth. I get a lot of compliments on it. Go to your local Camaro Club and listen as the folks pull up. Pick the sound you like...
