Exhaust swap from ls1 to lt1
ok this dude has a 2001 ls1 trans am and i have a 96 lt1 trans am, and he is selling me everything headers back, the ypipe and the borla cat back, and he told me a guy said that the ypipe wouldnt work on my lt1 cause ls1 y pipes are different!! is that true, ok will the catback even work on mine ?
I don't know about the y, but the catback should bolt right up.
When SLP first came out with the Loudmouth, it was only made for LS1 cars but it bolted right up to my '97 with no modification and no extra parts needed.

The y- pipe won't work without modification. The driver's side LS1 header angles towards the driver's rocker panel, where as the LT1 headers both point strait toward the rear of the car. The cat back however, as stated above, should work just fine.
