Wink Exhaust question from a newbie

I am curently running Hooker shorties with a stock cat and Y pipe with a Flowmaster system. I am looking to go louder and more aggresive. I was originally going to purchace a SLP Loudmouth system. I have been reading up and people say that it is too loud and raspy with headers. I don't know what to do now. Please give me some suggestions as to what to get or if the LM would sound like crap with shorties?
Thanks
Brian

I have the loudmouth and slp shorties with a m6 and it sounds great. Never received anything but compliments. I want to go with TPIS or jethot longtubes so I bought a used hooker catback. I decided to keep the loudmouth on though... I want to see for myself if I could work the longtubes and lm together.
